Former Arsenal and Scotland striker Charlie Nicholas is back with his predictions for this week’s games

Arsenal will look to get back into the Premier League’s top four when it takes on Bournemouth on Sunday. It’s Matchday 8 action in the Premier League with the Gunners in sixth place with a 3-3-1 record. Bournemouth is in 10th place with a 3-2-2 record and could also jump into the top four with a victory, assuming other results go its way. Arsenal: The Gunners have gone seven matches unbeaten and have won three of their last four in all competitions. Before that 1-1 draw at Manchester United last Monday, Arsenal had scored 11 goals combined in its three previous games. Against a Bournemouth defense that stays organized, golden chances may be hard to find.

Bournemouth: Bournemouth looked sharp in September with wins over Everton and Southampton, both 3-1. But a loss to Burton in the EFL Cup was concerning, and then they had to come back to draw West Ham last Saturday. An important stretch is coming up where the team will play a lot of the clubs in the bottom half of the table, so just a point here would be a good result.

Arsenal will start Sunday’s Premier League encounter with Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium as the clear favourites, and the hosts will be looking to improve their fortunes in the English top flight.

Caesars have handed the Gunners odds of 5-11, compared to 11-2 for Bournemouth. A draw comes in at 19-5.

Sky Sports will instead be showing Southampton vs Chelsea as Frank Lampard takes his in-form team to St Mary’s.

You can catch highlights of Arsenal’s match on Match of the Day 2 on BBC ONE at 10.30pm.

And stick with us here on SunSport where we’ll be running a dedicated LIVE BLOG from North London, which will keep you up to date with all the action as it happens.

Arsenal haven’t lost a match in any competition since the 3-1 defeat to Liverpool on August 24, and they cruised to a 4-0 win over Standard Liege in the UEFA Europa League in midweek. The Gunners have won just one of their last four in the Premier League, however, and have already fallen nine points behind league-leaders Liverpool heading into Matchday 8.

Bournemouth have won two of their last three in the competition and only sit a single point behind the north London side. The Cherries’ last outing was a 2-2 draw against West Ham United.

Sunday’s visiting team has been remarkably successful this early in the season, despite fielding the league’s youngest team, per FootballTalentScout:

Goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has been a revelation so far this season, showing remarkable consistency at the age of 21. Philip Billing, Harry Wilson and Nathan Ake are others to keep an eye on.

Arsenal have been overly reliant on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in front of goal this season, and he’ll start Sunday’s match as the only Gunners player to have netted more than twice in the Premier League so far.

September proved a great month for him:Summer signing Gabriel Martinelli has been a standout in his last two starts, netting twice in both the Carabao Cup and Europa League.

The Brazilian could be in line to play his first Premier League minutes since a cameo appearance against Newcastle United in August, handing the hosts another big weapon in front of goal.

Bournemouth have already conceded 12 goals this season, tied for fifth-worst in the division. Arsenal’s defence has also been leaky, conceding 11.

Inter Milan vs Juventus Live

Inter Milan vs Juventus Live: Inter Milan vs Juventus Live Stream, Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo take on Inter Milan on Saturday. Juventus, led by forward Cristiano Ronaldo, face Inter Milan, led by forward Romelu Lukaku, in a Serie A match at Juventus take on Serie A rivals Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup on Juventus vs. Inter Milan: 2019 ICC Odds, TV Schedule and Live Stream. The title credentials of two Italian heavyweights will be examined on Sunday as Juventus travel to San Siro for a crucial clash with Serie A leaders Inter.

Just over a week since it was announced that Inter Milan, along with its city rival AC Milan, plan to build a brand new $1.35 billion, 60,000-seat arena, another gleaming treasure has become a more pressing obsession, at least for those who follow the Nerazzurri.

That shiny obsession is the Scudetto — the Italian league title. For whisper it quietly, perhaps after all these years, Inter may be stirring.
The Cathedral” designed by Populous draws inspiration from two of Milano’s most iconic buildings; the Duomo and the Galleria.
September’s announcement that there will be a consultation over two architectural designs for the new stadium comes as Inter sits atop of Serie A, threatening to end Juventus’ dominance of Italian football.
The Cathedral design, by Populous, draws its inspiration from two of the city’s most famous landmarks — the Duomo and the Galleria.
Another, the “Rings of Milano” stadium, by Manica/Sportium, consists of “two iconic rings, interlocked and set apart in perfect balance … symbolizing the story of how two clubs, foreverThe “Rings of Milan” design is one of two designs being considered for the new arena.
Both arenas would look even more spectacular with the league trophy in the cabinet.
Not since 2010 has Inter won Italy’s Serie A — a season in which it also won the the Italian Cup and the European Champions League by defeating Bayern Munich in the final under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.
Last season’s fourth placed finish, 21 points behind a Juventus team winning its eighth consecutive title, brought an end to Luciano Spalletti’s reign and opened the door for Antonio Conte to return after a spell at Chelsea.
Just five months later, Inter sits top of Serie A with six wins from six and represents a genuine threat to the monopoly that Juventus, which it plays on Sunday in the Derby d’Italia, has enjoyed for so long.
The change has been as rapid as it has been surprising given the overhaul of the squad and the number of new players. But according to Italian football expert Adam Digby, much of the success lies with Conte simply being Conte.

The Italian, who won the English Premier League in his first season in charge before leaving Stamford Bridge in July 2019, could yet have a similar impact in his maiden season in Milan.
“Just like Giovanni Trapattoni did in the 1980s and Mourinho almost a decade ago, he’s stopping Inter from being disjointed, self-harming force it has so often have been,” Digby told CNN
“This is a club whose anthem sings about “pazza Inter” (crazy Inter) and it usually does its best to live up to it, but Conte — who has banned that song being played before games as it was before — has driven home his message of professionalism, ridding the side of trouble-causing presences like Radja Nainggolan and Mauro Icardi, pushing the team to give 100% commitment at all times.”
The departures of Nainggolan and Icardi on loan to Cagliari and Paris Saint-Germain respectively gave an indication of Conte’s desire to revamp the squad.

Big money was spent on the acquisition of Romelu Lukaku from Manchester United, while Alexis Sanchez followed his teammate to Milan on loan from Old Trafford.
Stefano Sensi, a 24-year-old midfielder, has impressed since arriving from Sassuolo while the vastly experienced Diego Godin has added steel to the defense.
But it has been Conte’s ability to improve players that has captured the eye the most, according to Milan football writer Vito Angele. He cites the recent performances of midfielder Antonio Candreva as a testament to Conte’s man-management.
“Conte’s secret is to know how to find the best from his players,” Angele told CNN.
“Look at Candreva, last year it was thought he was finished. With Conte, he is a different player, he runs and scores. Conte is a perfectionist, he takes care of the smallest details.”

That attention to the small details was illustrated by his side’s hugely impressive first-half display during the 2-1 defeat Champions League defeat by Barcelona on Wednesday.
After taking the lead through Lautaro Martínez’s second-minute strike, Inter played with a style and confidence that few teams visiting Barcelona would have had the temerity to display.
The defeat, owing to two wonderful goals from Luis Suarez, the second coming with just six minutes remaining, was particularly harsh on Conte’s side.
“We are hurting,” Conte told reporters in the aftermath of the contest. “There is bitterness and anger at the result. All we can do now is lick our wounds and prepare for Sunday’s match, but I saw courage and character.”
Juventus, which has won five of its six league games so far this season with a draw at Fiorentina the only blemish on an otherwise impressive start, will be only too aware of Conte’s ability to channel the anger and frustration of defeat into positive energy.
While there has been changes over the past years in terms of coaches, a new stadium and new players, one thing has remained constant at Juventus — success.

Sevilla vs Barcelona Live

Sevilla vs Barcelona Live :  Sevilla vs Barcelona Live Stream Online Watch The Sevilla vs Barcelona is usually a Top 4 matchup in La Liga; it’s almost that this time around. Currently, Barcelona’s fourth in the standings, and Sevilla’s in sixth. Both squads have sights set on Champions League places for the coming season, though the way that Sevilla’s playing in Europa League right now–especially with newly-signed striker Chicharito–it could qualify for Champions League by winning Europa League. Meanwhile, for Barca, let’s just say it’s been a really good week to be Luis Suarez.

Suarez scored the opening goal in last week’s La Liga matchup with Getafe, which was good enough for Barca to get the 2-0 win. Then Suarez scored a brace to help Barca come back against Inter Milan in Champions League play, after the team gave up a second-minute goal and spent the whole first half and part of the second chasing the match. There are still question marks around Luis Suarez’s health, though it looks like Ansu Fati, thought to be too injured to miss out on Spanish U-17 activation during the upcoming international break, might be returning.

Sevilla beat APOEL 1-0 on Thursday, with Chicharito scoring the lone goal of the match. Last weekend, Sevilla found goals from Nolito, Lucas Ocampos, and Franco Vazquez to outlast Real Sociedad 3-2. While a draw would be a great result for Sevilla, especially given the match will be played in front of the Camp Nou faithful, both teams will be looking for a win to assert themselves in the standings. It really does look, from these early stages of the season, that La Liga will be more wide open than last year. (That doesn’t portend well for a Barca team that ran away with it last year. But Barca may find that this still works out in its favor.)

Both Ansu Fati and Jordi Alba are back in the Barcelona squad for their Sunday night meeting with Sevilla at the Camp Nou.Back from injuries, Ernesto Valverde is hopeful that the pair will be able to feature, particularly Jordi Alba given that backup left-back Junior Firpo is out injured. There is also a spot for 20-year-old Uruguayan Ronald Araujo, a defender with the B team.

Barcelona will want to build on their midweek win over Inter when they return to domestic action against Sevilla on Sunday and Ernesto Valverde has called on his players to put together a good run of form.

It’s been a mixed start to the season for the Catalan club so far, but coming from behind against Inter will have them facing Sevilla with confidence.”At Barcelona you can be at rock bottom on Monday and in heaven on Friday,” Valverde said of the ups and downs in the mood around the club at his pre-match press conference.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Valladolid Live

Atletico Madrid vs Real Valladolid Live : Atletico Madrid vs Real Valladolid Live Stream Online Watch Atletico Madrid’s gone three straight La Liga matches without giving up a goal. Indeed, on the season, the stout defense has only let in four goals through the first seven matches—a big reason why Atleti’s currently third in the league. The team will look to get back to winning ways, following a scoreless draw against its crosstown rivals last weekend, when it faces Real Valladolid on Sunday.

It was a grind-it-out, scoreless affair for Atleti against Real Madrid last weekend, and losing Alvaro Morata to a red card the match before didn’t help matters. The team got a bit of its groove back in Russia midweek after winning 2-0 in Champions League play against Lokomotiv Moscow–getting 20 shots off–with Joao Felix and Thomas Partey hitting the back of the net.

Valladolid dispatched Espanyol 2-0 over the weekend to get to 11th in the La Liga standings, although Barcelona’s other team looks like a candidate for relegation, even this early in the season. The team’s best result of the year might be a comeback draw at the Bernabeu back in August, giving up an 82nd-minute goal to Karim Benzema, and then getting one back via Sergio Guardiola Navarro six minutes later. They’ve shown they can score when they need to … but can they score at all against perhaps the best defense in Spain? They’ll have to if they want to reverse the trend in this match up: Atleti’s won the last eight in this series.

After their convincing 2-0 victory away to Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League, Atletico Madrid would turn their attention to domestic action when they travel to the Estadio José Zorrilla to take on Real Valladolid.

The hosts have made a decent start to the campaign, picking up nine points from their opening seven fixtures and would be seeking to build on their 2-0 away victory over Espanyol last time out.

For their part, Atletico Madrid are currently placed third in the standings, just one point behind their city rivals Real Madrid, and given their lofty ambitions this season, Diego Simeone would want to get all three points to build momentum heading into the international break.

Atletico Madrid have an extremely great record against Real Valladolid, with both legs of their clash last season ending in a win for the capital club.

Indeed, Los Colchoneros have won each of the last eight LaLiga fixtures between the sides, with Valladolid’s last victory coming way back in 2008 when they picked up a 2-1 win at the Vicente Calderon.

Under Sergio González Soriano’s management, Real Valladolid have impressed significantly this season and a lot of their good performances are down to the displays of Oscar Plano.

The 28-year-old has been exquisite in his role as an attacking midfielder for Los Pucelanos, scoring three goals and assisting one from seven matches thus far. Having netted in injury time against Espanyol, Plano would be hoping to add to his tally against Diego Simeone’s men.

While he might not exactly have shattered the earth with his performances since arriving Spain for a club-record fee, Portuguese teenage sensation Joao Felix has played a key role in Atletico Madrid’s solid start to the season.

The former Benfica man opened his tally with the first goal against Eibar on matchday 3 but waited until matchday 6 to get his second when he scored with a deflected volley against Real Mallorca.

In Atletico’s last match against Lokomotiv Moscow, Felix grabbed the opening goal in the 48th minute and he would fancy his chances of continuing his scoring streak against Valladolid.

Man Utd vs Newcastle Live

Man Utd vs Newcastle Live : Man Utd vs Newcastle Live Stream Online Watch The eight matchday of the Premier League resumes on Sunday with Manchester United facing a road test where it really needs all three points. The Red Devils visit St. James’ Park to take on Newcastle in a battle of two teams in the bottom half of the table. United is in 11th with a 2-3-2 record and nine points, while Newcastle is in 19th place with a 1-2-4 record and just five points.

Man. United: When you don’t have a real striker, these things happen. United has not scored more than a goal in any of its last 10 games and are coming off a 0-0 draw against AZ Alkmaar in Europa League. That’s been the big issue in letting points slip away. Before long, they could find themselves firmly in the bottom half if somebody doesn’t step up.

Newcastle: This team is really reeling. They haven’t won any of their last five games and haven’t scored in over 263 minutes. The team lacks ideas, struggles in defense and is headed straight towards relegation. Steve Bruce’s days may be numbered if they fail to pick up a win or two in the next month or so.

Manchester United has had a bit of a rough week. On Monday, the hosts took a lead and then gave it back, ending up with a 1-1 draw against rivals (and current Europa League compatriots) Arsenal. Then on Thursday, in that tournament, the Red Devils only managed a scoreless draw with six shots total—and none of them on goal. Though Man U’s 10th in the table and flagging a bit in Europa League, at least it’s not where Newcastle is. The Magpies are currently in relegation-ready 19th place, after losing their last four matches.

Here’s everything you need to know to live stream Manchester United vs. Newcastle, including what to watch for on the pitch.

So which of these teams in need of a win can get one? Manchester United looks the more likely side despite the shooting woes, though the team’s only got two wins on the season. The most recent one was a 1-0 squeaker against Leicester two weeks ago, thanks to Marcus Rashford converting a penalty kick in the eighth minute—something we haven’t been able to say about Rashford (or, for that matter, United) this season.

Again, though, it could be worse. Last weekend, Newcastle faced the same team Man U recently edged, and lost 5-0, going down a man and giving up an own goal. Miguel Almiron’s been a revelation for NUFC despite the recent woes, and rumors are floating around that his old Atlanta United partner in goals, Josef Martinez, might join him in black and while come the next transfer window in January. Perhaps the team could use that kind of jump start?

Take a look back at an unforgettable Boxing Day clash at Old Trafford, when Manchester United fought back from three separate deficits before Javier Hernandez’s stoppage-time goal stole a win against Newcastle.

Chelsea vs Southampton Live

Chelsea vs Southampton Live: Chelsea vs Southampton Live Stream Online Watch The Chelsea will be hoping to register a fourth straight win in all competitions when they travel to Southampton on Sunday afternoon. The Blues have lost on only one of their 12 trips to St Mary’s Stadium, winning on each of their last four visits and scoring 10 goals in the process. Things did not start well for Chelsea this season, with a 4-0 defeat to Manchester United kicking off a run of only one win from their opening five games, but Frank Lampard’s team spearheaded by academy graduates are starting to look like a force to be reckoned with.

Chelsea has been a homebody their last two matches, but they are heading out on Sunday. Chelsea and Southampton are meeting up for their first leg of the season at 9 a.m. ET at St. Mary’s Stadium. Chelsea will be strutting in after a victory while Southampton will be stumbling in from a loss.

Lampard chalked up his maiden Champions League win as a manager on Wednesday when his side beat Lille 2-1, with Tammy Abraham opening his European account for the club with his eighth goal of the season, form which has seen the striker rewarded with an England call-up.

Midfielder Mason Mount and defender Fikayo Tomori were also named in Gareth Southgate’s squad this week, having established themselves in a Chelsea first team which for a long time seemed unreachable to their own youngsters, until Lampard’s return to London.

With senior players such as Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Willian, who has found form with two goals in two games, also playing key roles, the Blues look to have a good blend as they aim to secure a top-four finish which seemed unlikely during their transfer ban.

As it stands, seventh-place Chelsea are one of six teams separated by a single point in the top half of the table, although their defensive record of 13 goals conceded in seven matches is better only than newly-promoted Norwich City and rock-bottom Watford. The clean sheet against Brighton & Hove Albion in last weekend’s 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge would have been a major positive for Lampard.

Their hosts on Sunday are not exactly free scoring and present another good opportunity for Chelsea to work on their defensive resolve. Southampton had 51 minutes to break down 10-man Tottenham Hotspur last time out but ended up losing to Harry Kane’s first-half winner.

Danny Ings scored his first league goal of the season in that 2-1 defeat, to add to a double in the EFL Cup success over Portsmouth. Che Adams, though, is still waiting for his maiden strike in Southampton colours, seven appearances since joining from Birmingham City.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have lost consecutive top-flight matches, following a promising run of seven points from a possible nine, and sit 14th in the table, which is two points and two places better off than where they were at this stage last year under Mark Hughes.

The Saints may be content with their solid, if not spectacular, start to the season, but one area of concern may be their home form. They have collected only one point from a possible nine at St Mary’s so far and are winless in five home games going back to last term.

Chelsea got themselves on the board against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, but Brighton never followed suit. Chelsea didn’t even let Brighton onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. That result was just more of the same for Chelsea, who also won the last time these teams played (April 3).

This week Southampton faced Tottenham Hotspur for the first time this year and failed to start things off on the right foot. Southampton lost 2-1 to Tottenham. Southampton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tottenham apparently hadn’t forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played, back in March.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester City Live

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester City Live : Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester City Live Stream Online Watch The Manchester City have reeled off five straight wins in all competitions, mixing their usual quality with a doggedness that is also a calling card of Pep Guardiola’s double champions. Wolves arrive off the back of a Europa League win in Istanbul, hoping to hand City a first home league defeat since Crystal Palace won 3-2 at the Etihad last December. That was 10 months ago; the odds are hugely against.

In Wolves, they face a side struggling to balance their domestic and European commitments, although Nuno Espirito Santo’s men did win their last Premier League game 2-0 against Watford, lifting them to 13th in the table – though they have since dropped to 15th.

Can Wolves upset the apple cart, or will City keep up the chase on Jurgen Klopp’s side Read on for our preview, predictions, team news and TV coverage information.

With Kevin De Bruyne out injured, Manchester City will be relying heavily on Sergio Aguero to finish his chances against Wolves.

The Argentinian has been in devastating form so far this season, scoring in each of his first six Premier League games this season and will be looking to return to the scoresheet after a blank last weekend.

It’s almost certain that Man City will totally dominate possession on Sunday, so, Wolves are going to need someone dynamic in the middle who can stop the likes of David Silva and Bernardo Silva, but also show composure when on the ball himself.

That man is likely to be Joao Moutinho who, despite his age, continues to look like the perfect all-rounder in the middle for Espirito Santo. The Portugal international is brilliant at breaking up play, while few can rival his precision and range of passing.

As previously mentioned, Manchester City will be without Kevin De Bruyne after he was ruled out with a groin injury – although it is not thought to be too serious. The defending Premier League are also still without John Stones, meaning Fernandinho will continue at centre-back.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will not be able to call upon forward Diogo Jota, who missed Thursday’s Europa League win over Besiktas with an ankle injury. But other than the Portuguese, Wolves have a fully-fit squad.

Juventus vs Inter Milan Live

Juventus vs Inter Milan Live :  Juventus vs Inter Milan Live Stream Online Watch Juventus or Inter Milan sits on top of the Serie A table heading into the next international break As it stands, Juventus is currently in second place in the league with 16 points through the first 6 matches of the year. They have won their last 4 matches overall since dropping points in back to back matches against Fiorentina and Atletico Madrid.

Inter Milan is currently leading Serie A, winning all 6 matches they’ve played in Serie A, but they are actually the only team of the 2 who has actually tasted defeat this season. They suffered the defeat on Wednesday when they squandered a 1-0 lead to eventually lose 2-1 in Barcelona.

Juventus is in the same situation they were on Tuesday, with Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio, Douglas Costa, and Danilo all still unavailable. They’ll have the rest of their squad available and remain in their 4-3-1-2 formation as they attempt to take 1st place back from Inter Milan.

The San Siro plays host to the biggest game in Europe this weekend as perfect Inter welcome reigning champions Juve for I Derby D’Italia. This clash is not only huge for the present and future of the Serie A, but equally previous match ups have thrown up some classic viewing.

Liverpool will open up its Champions League title defense on Tuesday against a fun if not challenging opponent. Napoli, recently bolstered by signing Hirving Lozano, will host the Reds in the opening match of Group E play. Given that the other two teams in the group are Red Bull Salzburg and Genk, this could be the most compelling head-to-head match the group offers.

Liverpool looks dominant so far in the Premier League season, and that bodes well for the team’s Champions League chances as well — though Manchester City is still favored to win. For the Reds, going to Napoli will be the toughest test of the six group stage matches before them, and they may be in no better form to handle business. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mo Salah are still the most exciting attacking trio in world club soccer, even though Barcelona’s among the teams trying to match that.

Napoli, meanwhile, got a brace from Dries Martens last week, helping it keep pace with Inter Milan, Juventus, and a bit surprisingly, Bologna in the Serie A race. Hirving Lozano, who looked solid for Mexico during the recent international break, adds an extra dimension to Napoli’s attack and should test a very sturdy Reds defense.

The Champions League is back! Last year, Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur in an all-English final in Madrid. This year, a number of teams have a realistic shot at the title. While Liverpool looks well-positioned to defend its title, oddsmakers actually have Premier League title rivals Manchester City as slight favorites, with two reloaded La Liga giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid, and perennial continental champs Bayern Munich, PSG, and Juventus in the mix as well. While the round of 16 is where the competition really heats up, the Champions League group stage offers some compelling matches right out of the gate.

Napoli vs Torino Live

Napoli vs Torino Live : Napoli vs Torino Live Stream Online Watch The Napoli currently sit fourth in Serie A, six points off Inter, as they look to mount a title challenge this season. Carlo Ancelotti’s men will be hoping they can secure three important points against a team that has proven to be difficult competition, with Torino beating both Atalanta and AC Milan already. Torino have been the image of inconsistency, however, losing three games and winning three games which has left them just outside the European places in eighth place.

The only other player missing for Napoli is Nikola Maksimovic who came off against Brescia with a similar injury to Mario Rui.

Torino have more problems in terms of both injury and suspension. Centre-back Gleison Bremer was sent off in the Turin club’s 3-2 away loss at Parma and is therefore suspended for the Napoli game. On top of this, they will be without Simone Zaza, Vittorio Parigini and Alessandro Buongiorno due to respective injuries.

Serie A was launched in 1929 and has been the landing place for some of the best players in the world. Diego Maradona, Michel Platini, Ronaldo, and Zinedine Zidane once graced Italian pitches, joining homegrown legends like Francesco Totti, Gianluigi Buffon, and Paolo Maldini, who each played at least 600 matches in the league.

Today, Cristiano Ronaldo, who moved from Real Madrid to Juventus last season, is the highest-profile player in the league. New arrivals like Romelu Lukaku, who moved from Manchester United to Inter Milan over the summer, and Matthijs de Ligt, who moved from Ajax to Juventus after his role in an impressive Champions League run, are increasing the star power in a league that’s fun to follow.

Today, you should start with Juventus. Based in Turin, the defending champs are nicknamed “the Old Lady” and have been known in the past for their distinctive black-and-white striped jersey. Juve’s in the midst of transforming itself into a global brand that is about culture as well as soccer and its new controversial jersey is part of that. It’s half-black and half-white, with a thin pink stripe down the middle. Technically, it’s still a striped jersey, but tell that to fans who are not digging the new look.

On the field, they’re won eight straight Scudettos, and Adrian Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey join de Ligt as rich-get-richer additions to the squad this season. Maurizio Sarri, who coached at Chelsea last year, leads this year’s version.

Milan has two implacable rivals, AC Milan and Inter Milan, who share a legendary stadium in San Siro that was built in 1926 and is still one of Europe’s largest. Rome is home to two teams typically in contention for at least Europa League spots, AS Roma and Lazio. Napoli, based in Naples, boasts one of the most international rosters in Serie—now made more international by signing rising Mexico star Hirving Lozano—and they’ve been the most consistent challenger to Juve’s crown in recent years.
